You always see celebrities online with such radiant glowing skin and wonder how exactly they achieve it. Is it skin care? Makeup? Surgery? Or just simply good genes? While it does seem like everyone you see on Instagram or in magazines has perfect skin in reality a great many of us deal with dull skin. Some try to cover it with makeup and others just edit their photos. Even then those options don’t always work, especially because if your skin isn’t healthy your makeup still isn’t going to look great.  If you’re wondering why your skin is dull you’re not alone, many others along with myself are after the same answer.

The reason your skin may be dull is because it’s missing something. As to what it is missing they answers may very.  Some of the most common reasons why your skin may be dull is build up of dead skin cells, sun damage, polluted air, hormones, dehydration, stress, and diet.

To find out what your skin is missing will take a little bit of searching and experimentation.  I highly suggest going through your daily routine and finding out where you can make healthy adjustments. Our skin can show us signs that there is something wrong within our bodies, so if your skin is dull you definitely want to make sure you’re healthy. A healthy body means healthy skin.

What most people mean when they say dull skin is that the skin tone doesn’t look even and it just looks generally unhealthy. So basically the opposite of bright, glowing, radiant skin.

If you’re suffering from dull skin there are some key products you should pick up. To address all of the potential causes of dull skin you will need the following products:

  1. Sunscreen with SPF of at least 30.
  2. Moisturizer with vitamin C in it. 
  3. A Facial Scrub that is gentle but removes dead skin cells. 
  4. Deep yet gentle cleanser to wash off the dirt and grim from the day. 
  5. Face masks that are moisturizing and good for repairing damaged skin cells. There are actually a lot that are just for skin brightening.

When it comes to your skin it is so important to take care of it from the inside out not just from the outside. You’ve probably seen a million adds for vitamins and supplements that claim to promote healthy and clear skin. To be honest you don’t have to waste your money when you can just eat healthier.
